Svend la Rose is a classical liberal seeking modern solutions to the problems created by authoritarian social, legal, and political structures. Svend’s advocacy extends to all forms of illegitimate authority and all cases of irrational or improper uses of power. His causes include youth liberation, homeless rights, Autistic liberation, disability rights generally, sexual freedom, racial reconciliation, and gender justice, to name only a few.
In 2005, Svend was regional captain and then research and education director of the National Youth Rights Association. From 2006 to 2010, Svend was president of Americans for a Society Free from Age Restrictions, which at the time was America’s oldest youth rights organization. Since 2010, Svend has served in a variety of organizations. Svend also took part in Occupy Oakland, including its interfaith activities and its tactical action committee.
